Privacy policy

This privacy policy is intended for you as a user of the website french-tutor-paris.com (the “website”). It explains how your personal data may be collected and processed by Audrey Charmont.

Respecting your privacy and your personal data is a priority. Audrey Charmont is committed to two key principles: you remain in control of your personal data, and your data is processed transparently, confidentially and securely.

The processing of personal data is governed by Regulation (EU) 2016/679 of 27 April 2016 (the “GDPR”) and by French Law No. 78-17 of 6 January 1978 on information technology, data files and civil liberties.

1. Data controller

Audrey Charmont, sole trader (entrepreneur individuel)
255 boulevard Jean Jaurès, 92100 Boulogne-Billancourt, France
Email: audrey.charmont@hotmail.com

For any question about your personal data, you can contact her by email or through the contact form.

2. Data collected and purposes

2.1. Contact form

When you use the contact form, the following data is collected: first name, last name, email address, subject of your request and message (required fields), and your current level of French (optional field).

This data is used solely to answer your request and, where relevant, to offer you a suitable service. This processing is based on steps taken at your request prior to entering into a contract (Article 6(1)(b) GDPR). Your message is sent by email to Audrey Charmont and may also be stored in the secure administration area of the website.

Please do not include sensitive data (health, political or religious opinions, etc.) in the “Message” field: this field is only intended to describe the nature of your request. Any message containing such data will be deleted.

2.2. Online booking (Calendly)

Discovery calls and lessons are booked through Calendly (Calendly LLC, United States), which is embedded in the website. When you book, Calendly collects your name, your email address, any guests you add and any message you choose to write. This data is used to organise your appointment and send you its confirmation.

The Calendly scheduler is only displayed on the website once you have given your consent in the cookie banner, as it sets its own cookies and may rely on its own service providers (anti-spam protection, payment). You can also open the booking page directly on Calendly’s website. Calendly’s processing of your data is described in its privacy notice.

2.3. Online lessons (Zoom)

Discovery calls and lessons take place by video call via Zoom (Zoom Communications, Inc., United States). The meeting link is sent to you when your booking is confirmed. The data needed for the video call is processed by Zoom in accordance with its privacy statement. This processing is necessary to provide the service (Article 6(1)(b) GDPR).

2.4. Browsing the website and cookies

The website uses a functional cookie that remembers your chosen language (French or English) and does not require your consent. Other cookies, in particular Calendly’s, are only set with your prior consent. You can change your choice at any time using the “Manage cookies” link at the bottom of the page. The cookies used are listed in the cookie policy.

Like any hosting provider, Hostinger may record technical connection data (IP address, date and time, pages visited) for security purposes and to ensure the website runs properly.

2.5. Links to social networks

The website contains simple links to Audrey Charmont’s Instagram, TikTok and LinkedIn accounts. No data is sent to these networks unless you click on these links. Once on these platforms, their own privacy policies apply.

3. Recipients of your data

Only the following people and service providers may access your data, strictly within the scope of their tasks:

  • Audrey Charmont;
  • her technical service providers: Hostinger (website hosting), Calendly (booking), Zoom (video calls) and her email provider;
  • ARKYA, responsible for the design and technical maintenance of the website;
  • where applicable, the relevant courts, mediators, accountants, auditors, lawyers or bailiffs.

Your data is not shared with anyone else. It is never sold or rented.

4. Transfers outside the European Union

Calendly and Zoom are based in the United States. Data transfers to these providers are covered by the safeguards provided for in the GDPR (in particular the EU–US Data Privacy Framework or standard contractual clauses), as described in their respective privacy policies.

5. Data retention

Your data is kept for no longer than necessary for the purposes for which it was collected. Data submitted through the contact form or when booking is kept for as long as your request is being handled, including any resulting service, quote and invoicing.

Some data may be kept longer where necessary to comply with a legal obligation or to establish a right or a contract.

6. Your rights

Under the GDPR, you have the right to access, rectify and erase your data, to object to its processing, to restrict its processing and to data portability. You may also withdraw your consent at any time and give instructions regarding the handling of your data after your death.

To exercise these rights, email audrey.charmont@hotmail.com. You will receive a reply within one month at most. If you request deletion, your data will be erased within the same period, except for data kept for administrative, legal or security purposes.

If you believe your rights have not been respected, you can lodge a complaint with the French data protection authority, the CNIL (www.cnil.fr), or with the data protection authority of your country of residence.

7. Security

Audrey Charmont implements appropriate technical and organisational measures to keep your personal data secure and, in particular, to prevent any destruction, loss, alteration, disclosure or unauthorised access. Communications with the website are encrypted (HTTPS).

8. Changes to this privacy policy

This policy may be updated, in particular if a new service is added to the website. The version in force is the one published on this page.
